Monday night around 10pm Carter's mom called and said she was going to take him to the Emergency Room. None of us really believed Carter because he has claimed appendicitis a few times... but this time he was right!
The E.R. took blood and around 2am the results came back - Carter's white blood cell count was high (scary!) but, he still wasn't exhibiting the usual symptoms: fever, nausea, tenderness to touch, etc.
So they did an ultrasound but it was inconclusive.
Next was a CT Scan. Carter had to drink a bunch of liquid and wait 2 hours.
Around 5:45am appendicitis was confirmed. His appendix was removed 12 hours later.
Between Jake and Carter's mom, he has had a parent with him 24 hours a day. I think Jake looks tired, what do you think?
