The Dentist

Yesterday was Hailey's first trip to the dentist. I've been putting this off for about 1.5 years because she is terrified of our family dentist. So, I opted for a pediatric dentist and she did great!

They made the visit special - they took a picture for her memento that she got to take home (and I took a picture of her getting her picture taken!):

When it was time to lower the chair, she was game:



The dentist came in and counted her teeth (10 on top; 10 on bottom):



During this time, I got some information (did you know kids get a set of permanent molars behind their baby molars, and the baby ones don't fall out until 11 or 12?). I was also told that while her smile is pretty now (no spaces), that she is going to be crowded come adult teeth (guess this was a tip to start saving for orthodontia now):



Last the dental hygienist cleaned her teeth and applied some fluoride:



Hailey loved it! We'll see them again in 6 months!
