Labor Day Camping Trip

Another busy August weekend! For Labor Day weekend we headed to Lake Cachuma in the Santa Ynez mountains with the Levitan's and Aivazian's.

From left: Gannon, Carter, Nathan, Christopher (not pictured: Riley and Hailey)

We arrived early on Saturday and spent the day riding bikes, checking out the lake and even went to the campsite's pool! That evening we had some great BBQ and retired to the tents.

Sunday we woke up on the early side and Jackie bought the kids an inflatable pool (the general store had everything and then some). Again there was bike riding, lots of horse-shoe games and yummy BBQ.

Sunday night Hailey, Holly and I decided to sleep in my car (the seats fold down and make a nice LONG bed) because it turns out I am too long for the standard 4 person tent!

Speaking of Holly, she was super good. I was very proud of her, she even growled at someone that approached our camp in the dark (if this sounds weird, you must not be familiar with my super submissive golden retriever!)

Everyone had a great time - it reminded me of my camping days with my dad :)
