Playing Hookie

When I was little my mom would let me "play hookie" on my birthday and when she returned from a vacation. We would spend the day together shopping or at the beach or bowling. We also always had lunch out.

On Monday (the day I found my perfect jeans!) Hailey and I had the greatest day. I enjoyed her so much...

We were up and out of the house by about 9am (I had a doctor appointment at 10am). We arrived early so we strolled through a nearby Trader Joe's for snacks. She picked out dried cranberries, a fruit roll, peanut butter pretzels, a banana and some vitamin water.

From there we went to the doctor (where she was SO good) and then off to the Irvine Spectrum. We rode the carousel, shared some chicken strips and fries at Red Robin, shopped and finished up our spree with a Golden Spoon frozen yogurt.







Our last stop was my eye doctor appointment (where she was SO good again) and then she dozed off on the way home.

It was a perfect day.
